Cop Rock

While growing up in the early 90s I'm sad I missed "Cop Rock". I would've enjoyed it as a child - badass cop drama mixed with broadway sing song. Too bad it only survived 11 episodes. Actually, pretty amazing it even made it to 11 episodes. The creators later went on to do things like "NYPD Blue" and "Law and Order". Just think ... this was the backbone of the cop shows we know now. Enjoy the carcrash below.

Oh Wow.

This is what it means to be a guitar hero.

Street Views

I just discovered the craziness that is Google Maps: Street View today. It's amazing. I literally walked down my street from my then under-construction apt building to the subway where it was apparently summer.

See below. How I felt.

Convo

Ever since we got a games room at our new office, we've been very diligent about "band rehearsal".

Coworker: When's your band playing next
Me: I think we want to play now
Coworker: No I mean your band, your real band
Me: You mean my ... "Rock Band" band?
Coworker: No, no. I thought I heard you had a real band
Me: Um, no. Just the "Rock Band" one. We're called "Band Hero"
Coworker: Ah, pshh

Gee, sorry to disappoint.

Hotel 626

Produced by Doritos, this haunted hotel flash game is the best thing I've seen "the industry" create thus far in fully utilizing current technologies. Finally - a brand understands what it means to be in 2008 and what a 360 digital experience is.

For a frightful but awesome time visit Hotel626.com from 6PM-6AM. Enable your headphones, mic, webcam, and cell, and turn off the lights. Enjoy!

Brilliant Lowbrow

Ever since moving, NYMagazine has been having issues "confirming" my new address and thus suspending my account until further notice. I miss getting my restaurant reviews, but mostly I miss the quality news on the 'approval matrix'. For example:

President Obama

Barack Obama wins presidency and we're part of it. Yes we can! Feeling happy, relieved, and excited for what's to come. No more immediate need to find ways out of this country just yet.

(And for those of us who have been up since 5, we can sleep now.)

You Can Vote However You Like

Jurassic Park (Coming Soon)

Japanese scientists have produced clones of mice that have been dead and frozen for 16 years -- a feat that could lead researchers to one day resurrect long-extinct species, such as the mammoth.

Forget the mammoth! I want my own custom domesticated pterodactyl that is both puppylike and a means of transportation.
