Ridiculous in a Cupcake

For only 25k you can get yourself a customized cupcake car from Neiman Marcus. "Bring it to work and buzz the breakroom. Crash parades! Putter about the ‘hood'." No joke.

I must admit if I had the spare dough (haha) this would be mine. You can purchase here
Thanks Matt!

Birds

So a Starling flew out of Iris' ceiling at work today. Did you know they can lay either white or blue eggs? No need to dye eggs for Easter anymore, just find some of these:

Can you hear this?

This sound is generally only heard by people under the age of 25. It has been used as a deterrent device to keep teenagers from loitering in malls and shops, and sounds similar to a buzzing mosquito. Typically the longer you listen to it, the more annoying it gets.

Listen here

NYTimes article here on other uses for such a technology - ex. "signaling the arrival of a text message without being detected by an elder of the species" in class.

Thanks Fiona and Matt!

Kiss Gently

Sucking face can be dangerous as illustrated below:
A young woman has partially lost her hearing after her boyfriend ruptured her eardrum during an excessively passionate kiss... "The kiss reduced pressure in the mouth, pulled the eardrum out and caused the breakdown of the ear," a medic called Dr Li told state newspaper The China Daily.

Karaoke Rage

This makes me a little scared. Considering how much I karaoke, I'm drastically increasing my chances of being stabbed.
A Malaysian karaoke enthusiast hogged the microphone for so long that people set upon him and stabbed him to death.

Karaoke rage is not unheard of in Asia. There have been several reported cases of singers being assaulted, shot or stabbed mid-performance, usually over how songs are sung. Frank Sinatra's My Way has reportedly generated such outbursts of hostility that some bars in the Philippines now no longer offer it on the karaoke menu. In Thailand this year, a gunman shot eight people dead after tiring of their endless renditions of a John Denver tune.

Jurassic Park (Coming Soon)

Japanese scientists have produced clones of mice that have been dead and frozen for 16 years -- a feat that could lead researchers to one day resurrect long-extinct species, such as the mammoth.

Forget the mammoth! I want my own custom domesticated pterodactyl that is both puppylike and a means of transportation.

Mmm ... Salty

So this is what the schools and parents across the country are picking as a healthy alternative for youngsters these days - salty, frozen pickle juice ... so appealing right?

Robosnake

Really kool, but definitely freaky. Makes me think about what's worse: the robot version, or the real thing?
