Dance or Die II

Studio B - May 13th, 2008

Another positively explosive experience - finally getting to see "Cut Copy" (the electo genies from down under) perform since I missed them earlier this year. The hot stuffs that they are actually had two opening bands. We strolled in 2 hours after doors opened and caught the end of "Mobius Band". Don't really remember what they sounded like, but I'm sure it was pleasant.

Now, the second act, the "Black Kids, I have heard of. They properly started the dance party off with some funky beats sung by a lead singer with a delicate whiny voice and sweet girlie back-up vocals.

And finally "Cut Copy"! The show got super dancey and sweaty, always a sure sign of fun times. (You could tell that they were completely soaked by the end of the show - Tim's pale blue shirt had turned dark blue except the very bottom edges ... ew, but kinda hot, no?). This was one intense-awesome performance - would have tried stalking the darlings if it weren't a Tuesday night.

(This was taken during the last song when everyone gave into some sort of raw insanity; Dan proceeded to turn his keyboard-synths in circles)

Experience some of the joy by watching "Hearts on Fire"
